Back to metaphor abuse

About a week ago I posted about the use-and-abuse of terms like “cyber-war.” I didn’t realize that my prediction of media breathlessness would have been realized so soon. Then again, we’re in the midst of a Presidential transition.

Here you go:  Business Week now has the U.S. “losing a global cyberwar.” Translation:  somebody’s trying to get a policy funded by the incoming Administration, and is using bad cyber-words to do it.

P.S. – Shouldn’t there be a cabinet-level CTO in place to help the incoming Administration sort through the hype?
